Harper's "Mood Swings" Explained

Stephen Harper fans will be glad to know I recently rushed to his defence, in a recent "Macleans 50" commentary.

Commenting on an article detailing the Prime Minister's alleged mood swings and temper, I wrote, "even the Dalai Lama would likely lose his cool if he had to deal with the likes of Stephane Dion, Gilles Duceppe and Jack Layton."

I only bring it up because this commentary is also featured in the latest print edition of the magazine.

So go buy a copy.

... Thanks for defending our prime minister from these petty "Ohh... he's so mean" smears.
... They are the desperate attempts of the ideologically empty Liberals, and main-stream media who were used to Paul Martin coming running every time they switched on the cameras.
... It's always a good opportunity to cue the picture of Chretien choking a protester whenever Harper is accused of being mean.
... This whole "mean Mr. Harper" has been created by "journalists" like Don Martin- sucking their thumbs because their whole built-up network of insider Liberal gossips is now useless.
... That your observation is in Macleans is quite likely due to the presence and new influence of Mr. Coyne.

Yeah, and Dion and Layton are so gentle and sweet when they say we should abandon the women of Afghanistan to the edicts of the Taliban.

You clicked your way here. You go away. You seem to think you know Gerry very well. Well enough to know what to expect on his blog. You'd be much happier at Babble or Daily Cos. Run along now...

We all have to work with annoying people - that's no excuse for Harper obvious disturbing personality traits.

He's got serious problems - emotionally.

Can't keep blaming others.

I don't think Harper is "mean" but he most certainly can be petulant.

I agree with many remarks here --President Harper likely does need to refine some fairly serious disabling personality traits to ever win a majority government.

If only the public/electorate were actually as stupid as Canadian politicians give them the credit of being...
